Moving in the summer months is a popular choice, but many people end up moving in thick heat. In the fall, the weather is usually fairly nice with less humidity. This helps you pack without sweating, save the air conditioner and electricity bills, and allows you to drive to your new home with the windows open and music blasting!
Professional Movers May Have Better Availability
Because moving in the fall isn’t as popular as moving in the spring or summer months, professional movers may have more of an availability that would fit in your timeframe. However, don’t wait until a couple weeks before your preferred moving day – check out their availability asap!
Fall is Better than Winter
Moving in the fall will give you less of a chance to have to move in snow and ice like in the winter. However, we’re not weather professionals, so don’t be mad at us if a freak snowstorm does come in the fall… Historically speaking, this season is much more desirable and easier to move in. If you’re not a fan of freezing, this is your month.

It May be Hard to Sell Your Current Home
Selling your home in the fall may be harder to do as opposed to the summer. Many prefer to buy and move into homes prior to the upcoming holiday seasons, so unless you find some hungry buyers – it may be a challenge.
The Elements are Unpredictable
Like we mentioned before, don’t be mad at us if a random blizzard decides to visit earlier than later… or, a rain storm. It’s hard to plan ahead without knowing the weather, however – that’s the risk you take when it comes to any season, right?
