How do I decide what to keep when downsizing?
Measure the new space, then decide what physically fits before deciding what you want. Furniture, then everyday items, then sentimental items, in that order. Anything you cannot resolve can go into climate-controlled storage and be decided once you are living in the new place.

Both, on the top and on one side. Room tells the crew where to set it down; contents tells you which box to open first. Number the boxes as well and keep a short list, which makes a missing box obvious immediately rather than three weeks later.
