There are many advantages to hiring a professional moving team like Daymakers. Our customers are always grateful they hired us because we:

  • Take the hassle out of moving by packing, moving, and unloading with care
  • Are safe, experienced movers who get things done on your schedule
  • Have a professional inventory process to ensure all of your items are accounted for
  • Do all the heavy lifting for you
  • Give you peace of mind that every step of your move is handled with professionalism

Most importantly, we go out of our way to make your moving day spectacular.

We prefer that you contact us at least four to six weeks before your move, if possible. This helps us meet your preferred delivery schedule. If your move is happening in less than six weeks, contact us right away and someone from our Wisconsin (715-410-4054) or Minnesota (651-955-1283) team will let you know if we have an opening.

We do not sell supplies, but we offer full-service packing and unpacking, which does include brand-new supplies. We’ve done this thousands of times so we know how to make the most of your supplies and protect your belongings. Or you can ask about our recycled boxes and packing paper, which are available free to anyone who’s moving with us.

It seems like common sense, but make sure you tell family, friends, employer, and others you’re in touch with regularly. You should also update your address with your doctor, bank, credit card companies, and other important places. Make sure you set up mail forwarding with USPS so any mail that’s addressed to your old home makes it to your new one.

Your move estimate is free and will be based on distance, number and size of items to be moved, and services rendered. First, we’ll schedule an in-person meeting to walk through your home and see how much there is to pack and move. If we can’t meet you in person, we’ll host a video chat and take a virtual tour to ensure an accurate estimate. Then, we’ll provide you with an upfront cost that will only be adjusted if additional time or services are needed. We pride ourselves on fair, nearly-perfect estimates so know that we’ll get as close to the actual cost as we can when providing you with a moving quote.

No it isn’t. In fact, we don’t consider weight at all. Instead, local moving costs are determined by crew size and moving time. Long distance moving costs are determined by crew size, time, and mileage.
Contact your Daymakers team leader right away so we can adjust your move dates. We’ll process your change and find a new day and time that works for your schedule. Keep in mind that changing your date may require an estimate adjustment.

There’s nothing you need to do to ensure your possessions are safe—our team does it for you. We only use moving trucks that we own and operate so your belongings are safe and secure with your moving team. There’s never a change in team members or a truck left unattended, even on overnight journeys or long-distance moves. And your items are never confused with other peoples’ belongings because we only move one household per moving truck.

Protecting your items during the move is our responsibility and we take it very seriously. But should something happen, we’ll work with you to find a resolve by filing a claim with our insurance company and dispersing fair compensation for any loss or damage.

We highly recommend and prefer that you move valuables and sentimental items yourself in your own vehicle. If absolutely necessary that we move them, please tell your team leader and give the items to them directly. Such items may include:

  • Jewelry
  • Money/Important Documents
  • Antiques
  • Medications
  • Photos
  • Collectibles

Intrastate moves are local moves within the same state and are often charged at an hourly rate. They do not cross state lines or enter into interstate commerce and are regulated by the state the move occurs in. Interstate moves are long-distance moves where your belongings cross state lines and are generally priced on the weight of your shipment. These moves must abide by rules of interstate commerce that’s regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
